Anne Frank’s full name Annelies Marie “Anne“ Frank was a German-born Dutch-Jewish diarist. She gained name and fame through the publication of The Diary of a Young Girl in which she documented her own life. Anne wrote about her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944, at the time of World War II in the German occupation of the Netherlands.
Anne Frank Birthday: Anne was born on 12th June 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Anne Frank Family: Anne was born to Edith and Otto Heinrich Frank. She had an elder sister, Margot. The family was Liberal Jews and they did not follow all the customs and traditions of Judaism. They belonged to a minority group of Jewish and Non-Jewish citizens of various religions.
Since August 1944, Anne started writing a diary on a regular basis. In this diary, she wrote all the incidents of her and family struggling & hiding during the World War II. Finally she found the diary and got its publication in 1947. The dairy than in 1952 translated into English from Dutch as “The Diary Of A Young Girl“. Till date the book has been translated into more than 60 languages.
